VABRILL SETTERS

El Criadero vabrill está afiliado a la Federación Canófila Mexicana y al Irish Setter Club of América quienes nos dan la pauta a seguir mejorando en la crianza y la responsabilidad que esto conlleva.

Vabrill Kennel is affiliated with the Federation Canofila Mexicana (Mexican Kennel Club) and with the Irish Setter Club of America, which sets the Standard of Perfection for the breed and helps responsible breeders continually improve the health and quality of the Irish Setter.

Nosotros estamos localizados en el la Colonia del Carmen, a 2 cuadras del Centro de Coyoacan en la Ciudad de México. Un lugar de historia y tradición visitado por los turistas nacionales e internacionales.

We are located in the Carmen District of Mexico City, two blocks from the center of Coyoacan, a site of historic and traditional interest often visited by national and international tourists.

Vabrill comienza en 1998 y ha logrado hacer numerosos Campeones Mexicanos, Latinoamericanos, Internacionales, Mundiales, Americanos, etc. así como también Mejores de exposición en todas sus categorías.

Established in 1998, Vabrill Kennel has finished numerous Mexican, Latin American, American, International, and World Champions. We have also won Bests in Show in all age categories.

Buscamos tener un Setter Irlandés Rojo, Sano y Hermoso, que se apegue lo más posible al estándar y su función zootécnica “PERROS DE MUESTRA”

Our goal is to produce a healthy and beautiful deep red Irish Setter that conforms closely to the Standard of Perfection and retains its original hunting instincts and pointing dog function.

El interés principal de Vabrill es mejorar nuestros ejemplares en salud, belleza, estructura, instinto y personalidad, con una crianza responsable, haciendo de nuestros perros parte de la familia.

Es por eso que cuando pensamos cruzar a nuestros ejemplares, somos muy cautelosos y exigentes en escoger el perro apropiado, analizamos las líneas de sangre tanto del macho como de la hembra y pedimos opiniones de otros criadores expertos cuando tenemos alguna inquietud.

We are also very concerned with proper temperament and our whole family takes great care to thoroughly socialize our puppies before they go to their new homes.All of these concerns are foremost in our minds when we choose to breed a litter. We take care to closely study and analyze the bloodlines of all breeding choices, both male and female, and we are very selective in terms of genetic and physical health, structure, and temperament. We work directly with other experienced breeders when making our decisions.

BREVE HISTORIA

El gusto por los animales y especialmente por los perros me llevó a lo largo de muchos años a criar la raza Setter irlandés Rojo.
Mi gusto por esta raza empezó cuando yo tenía 7 años. mis vecinos tenían un perro Setter Irlandés Rojo que yo veía desde una terraza y me encantaba su estilo, color y elegancia al trotar.

My love of animals and especially for dogs led me on a lengthy journey that finally resulted in my breeding red Irish Setters. My love for this breed began when I was seven years old. My neighbors had an Irish Setter male that I could see from the roof of our house. I watched him trotting about their yard and was enchanted by his style, color, and elegance of movement.

Nací entre Rough Collies, que era la raza predilecta de mis papas, pero de tanto insistir en ese perro rojo, fue que en 1973 me dieron finalmente la oportunidad de tener mi primer Setter Irlandés Rojo de nombre (Sdevi).

My parents’ favorite breed of dog was Rough Collies, and I was raised with them from infancy. But after I became so fond of the neighbors’ Irish Setter, I begged my parents for one regularly. In 1973 they finally gave me my first Irish Setter, named Sdevi.

Aunque empecé desde los 10 años a asistir a las exposiciones caninas con el Dr. José Luís Payro y tener la oportunidad de ver hermosos ejemplares de esta raza e ir educando mi ojo y aprendiendo de las necesidades de la misma, fue hasta 1994 que empecé a ir a las exposiciones y presentar perros en Obediencia y esporádicamente participar en Belleza.

I began attending dog shows at the age of 10 with family friend Dr. Jose Luis Payro (now President of the Mexican Kennel Club.) I saw many beautiful Irish Setters, learned the finer points of the breed, and educated my eyes to evaluate them as I watched. In 1994 I began to handle dogs in Obedience competition and occasionally went into the conformation ring.

En 1998 ya casado y después de la muerte de una hermosa perrita Pastor Alemán de 13 años, la familia VABRILL decide adquirir nuevamente un cachorrito Setter Irlandés de nombre TONGO que mas tarde se convertiría en Nuestro primer Setter Irlandés Campeón Mexicano y Mundial 99 en Belleza y logra ser el Mejor perro Compañero A de Expocan 2001 en obediencia.

Now married, in 1998 we lost a beautiful 13-year-old female German Shepherd, and the Vabrill family decided once again to acquire an Irish Setter puppy. We purchased “Tongo” who became our first Mexican and World conformation champion in 1999 and who was the High Scoring Dog in Obedience Competition at the Expocan show of 2001.

En ese mismo año, tenemos la enorme dicha de conocer a Matt y Wendy Czarneki Criadores de Setters desde 1971 quienes nos han guiado desinteresadamente en el arte de la crianza y nos han enseñado a entender mejor esta maravillosa raza.

In that same year, we had the profound fortune to meet Matt and Wendy Czarnecki, Irish Setter breeders in California since 1971. The Czarneckis have generously taught us their methods of successfully breeding and raising puppies and have helped us to a fuller understanding of this wonderful breed.

Vabrill Setters esta formado por toda la familia Vázquez Bracho Illescas y de ahí el nombre del criadero pues se conforma de las primeras letras de cada apellido, Todos cooperamos, ayudamos y socializamos a los cachorros para que crezcan en un ambiente sano y lleno de cariño.

Vabrill Kennel took its name from the first letters of the last names of our family members: Vazquez, Bracho, and Illescas. All of the family cooperates in raising and socializing the pups so that they develop in a healthy affectionate atmosphere.

Criar Setter Irlandés para nosotros es un hobby que hacemos con mucho cariño y cuidado, buscando mejorar la raza en todos sus aspectos y que formen parte de nuestro hogar.

Breeding, raising, and showing Irish Setters is a hobby for our entire family. We do this with attention, caring, and love, sparing no effort in our work to improve the breed in all its many aspects. And in turn, the dogs enhance our family life as well.
